Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed has visited Hulhumalé and is believed to have toured some public service providers in Hulhumalé.
The Vice President to show that he is no different from any other ordinary citizen took the ferry service to Hulhumalé.
He visited Hulhumalé Police Station as well as Hulhumalé Hospital. At the hospital Dr Waheed visited the patients, family members, and staff. Also, the Vice President visited Hulhumalé power house and the MWSC building.
People living in Hulhumale’ are expecting the former government promised connection the newly reclaimed island of Hulhumale’ by a bridge as many find difficulty in paying for the ticket when they need constant visits to Male’.
He did not visit any rat holes style flats build to ease the congestion in Male’.
During his visit to Hulhumalé, Dr Waheed identified some areas where services could be improved.
